Quite some stuff on this update.First of all, I have the tendency to use the word "fuck" a lot in the "Derat's Wisdom" section. Please don't be angry, happier times less naughty language if you get the idea :()

Most important in this update (and something to celebrate) the members-page of the East Britain Rangers is now "online". Please thank Tristan for this outstanding piece of flash-art :) As you might have noticed already it requires flash (e.g. "flash-art"). If you don't have it or don't have the slightest idea what Flash is, go to the macromedia homepage at www.macromedia.com! All I gonna say is all praise Tristan :) Hope you like the Page as much as I do!

Next is, PLEASE read our internal msg board! I've been told someone didn't and was surprised to hear what was discussed there. It's the only way to discuss internal things in private without getting everyone together for a chat, so please read it. If you cannot access it, ask other rangers for the pass! For the unlucky ranger who forgot to read it, please contact me and I will explain the situation detailed to you if you want.

Last but not least, I saw that the bullshit spread on certain websites was concerned with EBR and what we're going to do, so I thought I'd reveal something of our plans officially in these news. First of all, welcome Mike as a Test Ranger. He showed much presence and effort and Weed invited him. If you have any concerns with him, please say it now, so we can discuss it. If you don't dare to say anything aloud (coward!) tell me per icq, so I know what's up.

Second thing, you know the current situation in SL and Factions, so please comment on it on our internal board. What would you like EBR to do? Noto the hell out of the SL's we don't want together with SoA ? Switch Faction ? Wait ? Coordinate with SoA so we can stay a team in factions ? Your opinion is wanted....

Last but not least, a simple question about the HP. Would you like the news in both english and german? I noticed that there are sometimes some misunderstandings about the news. So maybe it would be good if nearly all of us get the news in their native language. Look at the ICE-Homepage to see how that would look. "Neuigkeiten auch in deutsch absofort? Schaut euch doch mal die ICE-Homepage an um zu sehen wie sich das so macht :)" Well it's odd, but it might be helpful :)

Yes it's going to happen....EBR will get a members-page, designed by our brave ranger Tristan II ! I've seen it already, but I won't say anything now....keep your eyes open for updates! :) It's worth it :)))))) Despite that there's some discussion going on about factions and PvP in general, look at the news of the SoA Homepage to get informed! Last thing to say, I will be away from wednesday to friday, so no updates or anything during that time.

Ok with this update I introduce a new way of applying for membership in EBR. I just dont want to remember all those mails/icqs/chats etc where someone tells me someone would like to join or he himself would etc. There is only one way to get a test-week now, by invitation. Every EBR will be able to invite new members, if the inviting ranger passed test phase and is a full member! When you get your test phase, the usual things are important. You gotta be active, you gotta have an exceptable skill in fighting and most of all the guild has to like to play with you. I will not accept any applications directly to me if I dont know the person, so pls don't waste your time. And don't ask me to invite you, cause I prolly won't, as I could then recruit normally anyway! A new join page with more details will be implemented soon!

As you most likely already noticed the page is back again (for a while already) and I guess we'll use it again ;p Tristan is working on a members page for us, and what I saw of it looked quite promising :)))) I've also made a small avi movie to show you how your webdesign-team works and how fucked it looks when it hasn't slept and it's 11 in the morning. Download HERE ! It's about 6MB big, cause I still need some practice in encoding divX movies. If your media player doesn't play the movie, have a look at www.divx.com ! There you should find the needed codec. The movie features music by the band Tilt and shows one of your webdesigners during his cigarette-break, so don't be disappointed if you find no sex and/or drugs....maybe next time :)

Concerning UO, I just have one word of advice: don't ever get into a 1on1 fight with "Tem'lao" a mace-dexer if you're playing a mage. All I gonna say is: I never got kicked so hard and there is something rotten in the state of denmark.

I'll see that I upload some screenshots from factions soon, cause I remember someone told me he'd like to see something of it ;P If you have any good ones (mass battles, whatever) send them in please!

Latest news were only about the bugs in UO and not about who was killed. There was no statement about me killing SengirBat or Julie Cabaille 1on1, the statement was I delivered the killing blow on these two people to gain the score. <happily killing people we walk through Brit not thinking about anything evil!> ! That's a quote from the text if you didnt figure that out yet :) I'm posting this as one of the named persons felt annoyed by me stating on the page I killed him/her 1on1. Apparently you have never seen statements about "owning" or "ruling" here and you will never see em in my updates. All I did in the post was show what happened. The formulation might be not the best but anyway, I'll make it official. I didnt kill SengirBat 1on1 and I didnt kill Julie Cabaille 1on1. As far as I can remember I've never even encountered em 1on1. Hope this makes everyone happy :)

Over the last days I paged as many GM's as I did in my whole UO life before. The reason? Faction System bugs. And again I am astonished by the ignorance of some GM's and by the incompetence of the UO DEV Team. The whole story is ---> HERE

Well yes I didnt do shit...I found an old game on disk, called death rally! I played it the whole day and afterwards I didnt feel like spending work on the site. But I'm working on it, I really am! In my mind I have visions of this page, looking better than ever :D Despite that here are some pics of the rl meeting....Thor has to see em before he gets there, so they are all on one page without thumbs, prepare to download a bit. EBR will not recruit anymore by applying for membership, but only by invitation. I keep getting more and more requests for joining the guild and we can't handle that many new recruits nor do we wish to do so....so if you want to get into EBR hang out in our irc-chat and fight with us in factions.

Concerning the Shadowlords, I will lay down Leadership after these 2 weeks cause I am kinda fed up with it :() So we need a new EBR candidate which all of us will vote...maybe discuss that on the internal board or in IRC chat :) I can just say it's quite some fun to be leader of a faction but also a lot of annoying things happen....and you can count on being main target for everyone out there :))) Ask Thor (whom we took on stone cause he is brother of Bandit and also a friend from minax times) or me about being a faction leader if you want, I'm sure we will be glad to tell you about the ups and downs how we experienced it.

Last but not least we took Frost on stone, the owner of the EBR shop and a friend of Tychikus. I'm really sorry for the other people who want(ed) to join, but I cant take more people on stone if we want the guild to maintain its standards. Especially sorry for Buffy as I promised you a Test Week, you're no1 on the list of possible recruits :))))

***RL MEETING COMING UP*** The date is set to this saturday, ask me for help to find the place in Frankfurt! Some EBR's are planning to meet up before meeting and go together, because Tristan knows the way and will be able to lead :)) Ask him if they planned anything yet!

We entered the Shadowlords yesterday the 5th of february. It's been fun already, we attacked britain killed some got outnumbered some died some didn't....well factions :) Shadowlords own Britain and there is a horse vendor at the britain townstone which is located next to the wooden mageshop next to the ebb....you all know the place I believe :) If you have a thief or have one at hand pick up the britain sigil occasionally since its our only way to get war horses. We ain't yet ready to capture towns by now! There have been some differences with RUN but dont kill em on sight yet, as Gor-e tried to talk to Twist and I dont know the result yet. The problems started when Gor-e and Twist had some problems in despise..... I cant really tell what exactly happened, let's just see if they can get along, cause it'd be better not to war RUN as they're going to be in SL soon and fighting oranges from the same faction might be a bit problematic if we want to defend sigils some day....

We are going to switch to the Shadowlords-Faction in approximately 6 days. Until then we keep fighting for the good of Minax. The vote was quite clear only few of us said they'd like to stay in Minax (for the red horseys :)) but would follow to SL anyway. One exception is Saskia, who said she will most likely leave EBR if we switch to SL. I talked to her and it appears she hasn't been too happy in EBR lately... :( Maybe she thinks about it again after our conversation, if not we'll wish her all luck for her faction future of course :))) I just think it is sad that faction membership becomes more important than guild membership! If you look at the homepages of the other old PvP Guilds you will notice that many of them are nearly not updated.... the last ICE update was on the 2nd of decembre I think :-| More and more guilds are losing their "personality" and are assimilated into the bigger factions....very sad :| I hope we can prevent this :)))) In SL that should be np anyway since we are most likely bigger than the faction anyway hehe

Last but not least there are free vendor spots at the EBR shop! If you're interested contact icq#8207994 I think it's Tychikus ICQ but I am too lazy to check :) Just contact! And before I forget we have a request from one of our members to pick yew bank roof as our main bank as we did in earlier days. It's near to our soon to be Faction HQ and a nice spot anyway. Voice your opinion on our msg board!

Well.....yes :) No update for quite some time and this time it ain't my fault! weeeee :)) Anyway we got our lovely page back and there was actually lots of stuff to put into the news lately....but I won't put in now that we captured skara or pics of EBR's holding sigils...it happened so often by now, it ain't really interesting anymore :()

You might have noticed that the old news are gone....I didnt archive them by now, maybe I will do some day...I'll keep a copy of 'em and see what can be done! My progress concerning the members page is extreme....I can say that I will most likely not finish it before I'm done with my ABI which means---> quite some time to go! If you have ideas for the members page pls send them in if they fit into the general page design....

RL Meeting! The date is Saturday the 24th of February!!!! The place is Frankfurt am Main, Germany!!!! It's not the whole weekend anymore, cause the ranger knows as Six of Nine cannot come on friday and I wouldn't like people to be gone already when others arrive on Saturday... Everyone who will come pls drop me a MAIL or an ICQ!!! I got a list of cheap but acceptable hotels which I will put up the next days, all of them located in Frankfurt. And for the deaf ones I will repeat this: NO the party is not at my home and NO you can't all sleep at my place or in my car! I really ask you to find a place to sleep either in the hotels or in some other way (car whatever) or go home saturday night if you are capable to! I'm trying to get enough space here to get 2 people a place to sleep but we are way more than 2! Try to find other possibilities of sleeping! It's not like we're going to sleep a lot, you just drop off your body somewhere for some hours, that's all! You do NOT need 5 rooms a bathroom and a kitchen, you just need an alternative to sleeping on the street! More info coming soon :) (btw if you wish to stay longer than only saturday or come on friday already its no problem, but for the meeting everyone should be there on saturday, so you can be sure to meet everyone and not miss someone!!!)
