Chaos since November 1998

Thanks to Tristan II (Drachenfels 1998 - 2002) we've managed to get a working backup of the East Britain Rangers website. Sadly, it's not the most up to date version.

In memory of the good old Ultima Online and all Drachenfels / Catskills veterans, our goal is to keep this site alive and give those who stray around an old and new home.

Drachenfels (Official Ultima Online in general) is not the place it used to be. Lord British has left and EA - Broadsword does not want to hear the player-base who want a Classic / Vanilla Ultima Online shard.

But... A few rangers gathered and went to Ultima Online: Outlands.

UO Outlands is a free-to-play Ultima Online shard, set loosely in the T2A era, which launched in October of 2018. The mission of Outlands from the onset has been to create a version of Ultima Online which enhances every aspect of gameplay, creating a shard that emulates how Ultima Online should have always been had it stayed the course. And it does!

Yey, long time no see.. you might ask yourself.. 'What's new in the big big online gaming world?'

At first I like to remind you, Shadowbane is near. If we can trust GameStar even very near(Mai 2k2). I'm sure lots of us are going to test (at least) sb and maybe it's as good as we've thought some years ago.

Another new really promising online rpg was announced by Turbine. As you can see on the crappy gif on the right (sorry no time :p) it's name is Asheron's Call 2. Some of you might know that I'm playing AC1 on DarkTide since a long time and imo it's currently the best PvP Server. If you have a look on www.darktidenews.com you can see that the 'scene' on DarkTide is very active.
That's just one point out of many why Asheron's Call 2 might rule even more than Shadowbane ;).

Yesterday I met Jadawin (the owner of our Tower) again
after a long time. He helped us bringing back the EBR
stone to its home, the EBR Tower. Some months ago
we had to place a new stone because the old one was
bugged. Thx Jada!

Con & Warfare

Lag is horrible these days for all german T-DSL users. From 4 pm to 11 pm there is no chance to play without packetloss. I hope that the DTAG can fix it soon, because most of us are using T-DSL and we cannot play at the main pvp time at the moment :(

Last night we started a hunt after our con came back at 11 pm and it was a good day for the rangers :) At Britain Gate we won an outnumbered fight against PaB, after that we kicked m8$ at the WBB.

Later this evening we got a new war, against Super Saya'Jins [SSJ]. Six and me arrived in Britain where we were attacked by Luke and Aberis, new guild but well known enemies :) Although they were more than 2, they gave us the chance for a 2 on 2. (At this point thx to SSJ!) After Luke died, the next SSJ joined the fight. You can see the results on the pictures.

My first impression of SSJ was ok. Small guild with good pvpers. Let's hope they keep on playing fair as they did this time.

PvP Tournament

Last but not least, there will be a PvP Tournament on Sunday, 20th January. It is just for fun and everybody is invited to take part. For rules and more information please read the latest news on the Team Cow Homepage.

HP, Warfare and Members-Update

I am trying to update the page at the moment including the links, the members and the status section, but it is really a lot of work. Maybe it will be finsihed in some days.

In the last days and weeks I noticed that some of you are really sick of the resskill and shittalk from other guilds. Please read our EBR-Tower message board. I have posted there internal news.

But we also had nice and fair fights with ICE, DA, LOS and some faction guilds. Thanks!

This night I decided to kick BadBoy aka Tyasha out of EBR. He seems to prefere BOH instead of EBR, showing his loyality in wearing BOH clothes and asuring that he is going to join BOH soon. Anyway, he was not fighting with us very often.

Faction - EBR

On Friday we joined the True Britannians Faction with our former Order stone (E8R) and reached at once Nr. 1 of the TB score list with only 6 people on stone.

It does not mean that we switch back to Faction-PvP. We are just looking for some fun when there are no enemies in O/C or there is boring gangbang only.

You can take a char on the E8R stone anytime you want, if you are an EBR Member. Leomar is the stoneholder of our Faction-Stone. For all non-EBRs: Sorry, you cannot join Faction-EBR if you dont have a char on our main stone. Order/Chaos is still our primary PvP-Section.

Maybe we can bring back some old Faction "Flair" in TB ;) (sorry, i got no other ebr faction pic, maybe you can send me some to my eMail?!)

Member-Update: Fehaar joined Main Stone for Test Phase. We have 2 Test Rangers now and can't accept more candidates at the moment. Sorry...

After that we had some "fun fights" with deamons, energy fields, blade spirits etc. I wrote down these results, too. But the rangers didnt want me to post them :)

Thx to all "guests" for joining us (Seth (TC), Murmandamus/Elmer Fudd (ICE), John D'Overan (ICE), Aditu No'e (DA), Mitrandir (DA), Cassanova (DA)).

I dont know exactly but we should have more than 41 wars now and should be in DF's Top 10 Warfare Ranking again, if noone peaced us this night. We had nice fights in Britain last days against ICE, DA, CP, $$: and many others, although we dont find smaller groups of enemies anymore. Sometimes we arrive in Britain and can't find any enemy for several hours and suddenly a horde of 30 oranges appears. So don't complain if you see EBR with more then 7 or 8 people. While LOS e.g. is always known for fair fights, there happened some ugly things in the war with m8$. There is always one guild on DF which needs to resskill, backstab and destroy all the fun. I talked to their GM a few minutes ago and he promised that shittalk/backstab/resskill won't happen again. That means we don't have dirty war with m8$. Please try to play fair against m8$ as we used to do in all other wars, too. Thx!

Member-Update: Wolverine passed Test Phase successfully and is now full member of EBR. Welcome, and thx for the pictures :)

As there are so many people who want to visit us in our IRC-Channel, we won't kick and ban guests out of our public chat #ebr anymore, but we have set a new Channel called #ebr.int which is for EBR Members only! Please read the posting of Pepito on our internal Message Board.

Last but not least: I think in some days/weeks we will be back in DF's Top 10 Warfare Ranking, we just need 4 or 5 more wars.

Recruiting, IRC, Warfare, Members & Other Stuff

Hi everybody! I know, I know, long time no update. But here we go, finally.

We still have memberstop. Sorry @ all candidates applying for membership. Maybe we can take one or two Test Rangers on stone in some weeks.

During the last weeks and months our IRC channel changed to a talkhouse in realtime. Yes, sometimes it was very funny, but from now on we won't tolerate Non-EBR/TC-Members or Non-Candidates. I am sorry for that, but I think it is better for the guild. You will understand it for sure...

You may have noticed, there is a guild on DF which rocks us all. Run for your life when you see this incoming: [Style PvPer, FU!] [Chaos] Me OwNz Yoo (young). Here are the results of the last fights. And they are true. Believe me!
2 FU! vs. 16 ICE --- ICE down
3 FU! vs. 21 $$: --- $$: down
5 FU! vs. 30 EBR --- EBR down

Ok, lets stop kidding... I declared war on several (smaller) guilds. Would be nice if you declare back. And remember: We still have ally with TC. We treat `em like our own mates.

Concerning our current roster i have the following updates: Bhal, Ghostface Killah and Sir Weedfreak were removed from stone because of inactivity. They are welcome to join again when they come back. Diablo was removed from stone, too. Natas, Flavius and Cenedra passed their Test Phase successfully and are now full members. Wolverine was taken on stone for Test Phase. Good luck and try to be online as often as you can ;)

Warfare, New Members, Recruiting & Other Stuff

Long time no update, but there are many news for you.

First of all we are active on Siege Perilous as well as on Drachenfels at the moment. On DF we are still looking for more wars. So please - all guilds out there - declare war on us, doesn't matter whether order or chaos. As you may have noticed at least 2 guilds peaced us...maybe we are too strong for them or they are too new for us, I don't know and we even don't care.

We have a new member in Test Phase - for 1 week now - on DF stone: NaTaS. An old member came back on stone again: BadBoy (BadFotr), and Dobermann finally got a new pc and i-net again. John White from SP joined DF Stone, too, few days ago.

Generally we still take in new members but you can't come to us and ask for joining anymore. You will need an EBR full member to invite you into the guild. Its a method which we had already when Derat was GM and I think it is very useful.

We also had some problems with other guilds in the last few days/weeks. They resskilled us, we resskilled them, they shittalked us, we shittalked them...I don't know what is true anymore. Maybe we can forget it and make a new beginning without this sh...

Drachenfels News: New PvP System

There was a vote in our internal message board during the last few days which gave this result: EBR will switch back to Order/Chaos- and Warfare-System next week. We are already in the process of leaving the True Britannians.

It is simple: We have nothing to loose :) Factions suck and maybe O/C, too. I dont know. But we hope that many guilds will "follow us" to O/C. If not the situation cant be worse than it is now. But maybe there will soon be enough guilds in O/C so we will have fun again like in "old times".

well, seems as if BFC is a bit outdated. We have problems connecting to the server because its a win2k machine, so we switched teamsound. you can download it HERE, same ip, no pw.

Anarchy Online

For those of you who dont know. Anarchy Online will start today. Some of the EBR-members should be found in that game. Please check msg-board if you will play and chose "Clan/Rebel"-Side if you make a character. If you have a broadband connection, you can download the client (600MB!!) and purchase a cd-key via their homepage from tomorrow on. In my opinion, this game has good potentional; sweet class/skill system, good quest stuff, good trade skill system and consensual PvP.
